Mobile Automation Testing
In the Spring of 2021, I was tasked with coding several mobile automation tests using a combination of Robot Framework, Appium, Python, and Selenium. The purpose of the project was to create automated tests for partner applications that need to be tested at least once a year. These automated tests would allow for other developers to have more time doing more important tasks instead of spending time testing applications. To create these tests, I had to first spend the some time learning Robot Framework, Appium, and Selenium and how the three can be used together. I also took it upon myself to learn how to use Python and Appium together to create automation scripts without needing to use Robot Framework. This project calls for a lot of communication between both the partner and myself to ensure that any mistakes found while testing these applications can be fixed before the applications move to the customer's devices. Going forward, I will be continuously working and updating this project throughout the years to accommodate the different applications and tests that need to be run. Since the coding information I can share about the automation tests is confidential, please contact me directly for links to basic automation test files.
