As part of an internship application I had four days to build and finish a game in the program called BuildBox. The result of these four days is a mini-game called Shots Fired, a game with the same mechanics of Flappy Bird. However, unlike Flappy Bird, in this game the player actively attempts to avoid obstacles as well as fighting through enemies. Power-ups can be purchased using in-game coins collected throughout the level. These powers include destroying all enemies on the screen, invincibility, and flopper, a combination the first two abilities. In the video above, you see a play-through of the game with both winning and losing end scenes, while getting a look at the different power-ups, the shop, and the instruction page. The art that was used was primarily the art given to me by the BuildBox art package with a few alterations in the color of certain assets.
