Virtual Reality: Zebra
Starting in June 2018, I was given the opportunity to work for Zebra Technologies in order to optimize and develop multiple Virtual Reality simulations. Originally, each vertical environment was built to show off a different industry that Zebra is involved in and how their devices can truly have a positive impact on the worker's experience. As time went on though, these environments shifted to focus more on individual use cases for specific devices.
One of the most popular use cases that I was tasked with creating allowed a worker to learn how to safely install one of Zebra's products. After this use case, I then created an additional use case on how to use this product/solution that Zebra offers. These simulation have been widely used to help train both Zebra employees and partners on how this device is used. With this use case being very successful, I have been tasked with creating simulations for other products in Zebra.
During Covid, many people could not simply come to Zebra and do product tours. Additionally, social distancing made it very difficult for Zebra's partners and customers to learn about the new products that Zebra was Launching. Due to this, I was tasked with creating simulations that people could download and use to interact with the new technologies that were coming out. Ultimately, these simulations allowed the user to see how this could help impact their work environment and how it was used without having to leave the comfort of their home. Due to legal reasons however, I am not at liberty to post videos on my personal website. However, if you have more questions about these environments, my responsibilities, or my experience creating each environment, please feel free to contact me.
